Things to do
The Broad Meadow Bed & Breakfast is totally private yet just minutes from some of the Island’s favorite places.
The Granary Gallery, at the entrance to Elias Lane, is a stunning repository of sculpture, paintings, photography and antiques. Drive or walk the scant mile to the West Tisbury Town Center, a historic spot and stop by an island landmark: Alley’s General Store. Our five star rated West Tisbury Library is across the road, next to the Field Gallery, another island landmark of art and sculpture.
At The Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society 1/2 mile from the B&B, there is a twice-weekly West Tisbury Farmer’s Market.
West Tisbury’s Historic Town Hall is also in the heart of town and just behind it is a popular playground – a spot at which we, with our children and grandchildren, have spent many happy hours.
There are some great take-out food places for picnics: Vineyard Take Out in North Tisbury and 7A back of Alley’s in the Town Center. For more elegant dining, there is nearby State Road Restaurant and Lambert’s Cove Inn Restaurant, three miles away. For burgers, fried onions and more like that bike to the Plane View Restaurant two plus miles along the Bike Path and have lunch while watching the small planes come and go.
